Riley Green is stepping into a new role on The Voice, joining Kelly Clarkson and Adam Levine as a coach for Season 30 on NBC. The fall return will feature a four‑coach panel, expanding beyond the trio who led Season 29, with another star expected to sign on soon.
Green, a country artist with three albums, is known for hits such as There Was This Girl and I Wish Grandpas Never Died, along with Half of Me and Different ’Round Here, a collaboration with Luke Combs. His TV résumé includes a run on CMT’s Redneck Island back in 2012 and a four‑episode arc on CBS’ Yellowstone spinoff Marshals as one of Kayce Dutton’s former Navy SEAL teammates.
Clarkson announced the news via an Instagram post that included a voicemail from Clarkson herself, signaling her excitement to coach alongside Green and noting her fandom for his music. Green responded with good humor, hinting that he may soon be addressed as a coach this fall. The Voice is produced by MGM Television, Warner Horizon Unscripted Television and ITV America, and was created by John De Mol, who exec produces alongside Mark Burnett, Audrey Morrissey, Amanda Zucker, Kyra Thompson, Adam H. Sher and Barry Poznick.
