Audrey Beth Davis, Veteran Publicist Behind TV Classics, Dies at 82

Audrey Beth Davis, a fixture in television publicity and a longtime member of The Lippin Group, has died at age 82.

Her passing, attributed to natural causes, was confirmed in Pennsylvania, with close friends, family and caregivers by her side.

Born in Brooklyn on October 17, 1943, she completed Midwood High School in 1960 and began her career helping publicize a landmark game show from Goodson Todman—the Match Game.

She pivoted to public relations in the 1970s, starting at Stone Associates before joining Dick Lippin’s new firm, Lippin & Grant, which would evolve into The Lippin Group. She remained with the firm until her retirement in 2008.

Throughout her decades in TV publicity, Davis steered campaigns for beloved programs such as The Golden Girls, Empty Nest, The Love Boat and the Law & Order universe, among others.

She is survived by her sister Rhonda and husband Jim, another sister, Sharon, along with niece Rebecca and her husband Konrad, nephew Hank and wife Karen, and a circle of great-nieces and nephews — Jake, Sarah, Zoe and Hannah.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to St. Francis Home in Reading, Pennsylvania.
