Adam Scott once chased a comeback in the Hellraiser world, even after his Bloodline character was killed off. The Severance star spoke about the moment on a late-night show, recounting that he auditioned for Hellraiser 6.
In Hellraiser: Bloodline (1996), Scott played Jacques, a servant who helps a demon-summoning scheme. He explained that his agent sent an audition for Hellraiser 6 and he thought, ‘Maybe they won’t notice I was in Hellraiser 4.’ Desperate for work, he decided to give it a shot.
He even remembered trying to dodge eye contact with a Bloodline producer in the waiting room, hoping to slip into Hellraiser 6 unnoticed. Ultimately, he did not land the part.
Looking back, Scott appreciates that early foray into a long-running horror series. The Hellraiser franchise, born from Clive Barker’s The Hellbound Heart, now spans 11 films, with the most recent arriving in 2022.
