Sony pulled back the curtain at CinemaCon, announcing a June 2027 release for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse and offering a first glimpse at the animated finale.
The presentation showcased Miles Morales in a universe where Spider-Man is absent. He encounters Uncle Aaron, then comes face to face with his own alt-figure, the Prowler. After a tense moment, Miles uses his powers to break free as the screen blooms into the series’ familiar, kaleidoscopic world, with Gwen Stacy, Spider-Ham, and Peter B. Parker appearing alongside him.
Directors Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson, with writers Chris Miller and Phil Lord, shared that this installment marks the final chapter of Miles’s story in the Spider-Verse saga.
Leading voices include Shameik Moore and Hailee Steinfeld, with production credits from Phil Lord, Chris Miller, Avi Arad, Amy Pascal, and Jinko Gotoh.
Returning to voice their iconic roles are a number of the franchise’s regulars, including Brian Tyree Henry as Jefferson Morales, Lauren Vélez, Issa Rae, Karan Soni, Nicolas Cage as Spider-Noir, Daniel Kaluuya, Liev Schreiber, Greta Lee, and others.
The film is slated for a June 18, 2027, arrival, positioning it as the culmination of Miles’s Spider-Verse journey to date.
