Located just north of the Dolby Theatre, the Magic Castle operates as a members‑only club that hosts dinners and a rotating lineup of magical performances. The venue opened in 1963, founded by William and Milt Larsen, and has long been tied to the Academy of Magical Arts.

In 2025, ownership shifted to Randy Pitchford, founder of Gearbox Entertainment, though the club remains its home and continues hosting events, promotions, and educational programs.

There are notes that the roof was under construction at the time, with roofers using blowtorches earlier in the day to address materials.
