T-Pain Launches Animated Wiscansin Universe With Viral Nation and Wind Sun Sky

Rapper and producer T-Pain is diving into animation with a new project called Wiscansin. Through Nappy Boy Entertainment, he teams with Viral Nation and Wind Sun Sky Entertainment to launch an animated universe built around a Wisconsin-inspired brand.

The concept traces back to a line in his 2008 hit “Can’t Believe It,” where a mansion joke in Wisconsinites sparked a fan-created world that now includes a fictional university, merchandise, and a Milwaukee music festival.

From lyric to animation

Wind Sun Sky founder Catherine Winder, whose Vancouver studio has credits including Star Wars: The Clone Wars, is steering the animation development. She says Wiscansin aims to be a broad, self-aware campus world with a cast of funny, relatable characters and a tonal blend of humor and heart.

“The idea has grown into a universe with lots of character moments, and we’ll build it out step by step,” Winder said. “There’s a strong sense of fun in the world we’re creating.”

Viral Nation’s Paul Telner notes the plan spans multiple formats, from animated shorts to a longer-running series, with cross‑platform possibilities at live shows, Roblox and beyond. The effort leans on digital channels to breed several content streams and revenue paths.

The project is expected to yield its first short-form content within roughly nine to twelve months, with T-Pain playing an active role in shaping the creative direction.

Telner adds that MIPCOM will feature discussions about how creator-led IP is reshaping TV markets, with Wind Sun Sky and collaborators sharing the stage. YouTube is part of the broader strategy as a distribution and engagement partner.
