Mubi has released the full trailer for Camp Miasma, a sly queer horror satire from writer-director Jane Schoenbrun.
Starring Hannah Einbinder and Gillian Anderson, the feature lands in theatres via Mubi on August 7.
Camp Miasma is Schoenbrun’s third feature, following We’re All Going to the World’s Fair (2021) and I Saw the TV Glow (2024).
The setup follows a revived Camp Miasma franchise handed to an eager new director. When she meets the original film’s now-reclusive star, the encounter spirals into a blood‑soaked world of desire, fear, and delirium.
The ensemble includes Amanda Fix, Arthur Conti, Eva Victor, Zach Cherry, Sarah Sherman, Patrick Fischler, Dylan Baker, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Quintessa Swindell, Kevin McDonald and Jack Haven.
The Cannes world premiere earned a six‑minute standing ovation, and Variety praised the performances of Anderson and Einbinder as well as Schoenbrun’s direction.
Around the project, Schoenbrun is expanding into prose with Public Access Afterworld, due later this year from Hogarth, and is developing a Netflix series adaptation of the graphic novel Black Hole.
