Kate Mansi is stepping away from General Hospital after a three-year stint as Kristina Corinthos-Davis.
The development was first reported by soap-press insider Stephanie Sloane and later confirmed by Mansi on social media.
She described the decision as a move to focus on new projects, noting that with her husband Matt McInnis producing a series overseas, she needed the flexibility to travel while continuing to work in Los Angeles.
Background on her GH run
Mansi joined General Hospital in May 2023, taking over the role from Lexi Ainsworth. The actress previously built a fan base on Days of Our Lives and earned multiple Daytime Emmy nominations, including recognition for her work on GH.
In addition to acting, she has directed a couple of GH episodes, showcasing her behind the camera work. Executive Producer Frank Valentini said the show loves Kate and that the door will remain open for her in the future.
Her final GH episode was filmed in April, with her last on-screen appearance planned for a June air date. Outside of soaps, Mansi’s credits include a guest turn on How I Met Your Mother and the Amazon Freevee limited series Casa Grande.
