LevelK Joins SF Studios for Torpedo, a Danish Street-Crime Thriller by Hviid & Lindholm

LevelK has taken on global sales for Torpedo, Frederik Louis Hviid’s thriller co‑written with Tobias Lindholm. The project dives into the world of torpedoes—the youths groomed by crime groups to do their dirty work.

The deal teams LevelK with SF Studios, with Marcella Dichmann serving as lead producer on the film.

Set in the present day, the story follows 16-year-old Kian, who believes a quick payday and ascent in the gang ranks await if he does as he’s told. Refusing the mission would not only put him at risk; it could imperil his family as well.

Hviid has pointed to how the torpedo phenomenon has spread across Europe. He notes a 2025 crackdown (Operation Grimm) with Europol and multiple countries that led to hundreds of arrests, while recruitment of youths into violent crime continues to rise. He emphasizes that telling the truth about violence carried out by young people required deep research, and credits Lindholm with injecting a fearless, human-centered perspective.

Lindholm adds that Frederik’s focus on Denmark’s stark realities gave the project its urgent edge, aiming to reveal the darker side of the Danish dream without sermonizing.

Hviid’s international breakthrough came with Shorta, and he has since become one of Denmark’s most fearless directors, known for Prisoner and The Quiet Ones. Lindholm’s screenwriting credits include Another Round and The Commune, while his directing work spans A Hijacking, The Investigation, and Netflix’s The Good Nurse, which he also helped write.

LevelK CEO Tine Klint praises the collaboration, saying the duo turns fear, quick choices and vivid crime-world textures into cinematic realism. SF Studios’ producers are positioned to deliver a gripping, emotionally resonant thriller that lingers after the lights go up.
