Common Wealth Documentary Opens in Australia and New Zealand

A new documentary called Common Wealth travels across eight nations to examine alternative paths for economy and governance. It is scheduled to reach theaters in Australia and New Zealand on June 23, with Madman Entertainment handling distribution via its Garage Films label.

The film marks the first feature by writer-director-presenter Kane Guglielmi, who frames his personal journey from a traditionally minded capitalist perspective as a quest for broader prosperity. Darkwood Entertainment produced the project, and Academy Award winner Vanessa Redgrave appears among the participants.

Guglielmi plans a promotional tour spanning more than 30 cities across Australia and New Zealand on opening day.

Centered on themes of housing insecurity, rising living costs, political polarization, and global conflict, the documentary aims to reach audiences beyond its regional premiere and spark conversation about hopeful futures.
