Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness Returns as a Spring Collectible Statue

A spring surprise awaits Lara Croft fans: the infamous Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness is back, but not as a game—this time it arrives as a premium statue. The 2003 entry was meant to steer the series into a darker mood, yet a rushed launch left bugs, missing features, and unfinished ideas. Still, it shifted over 2.5 million copies and earned a cult following for its audacious tone and atmosphere.

After Core Design exited the franchise and the storyline stalled, Angel of Darkness lingered as a footnote in the timeline—until 2026, when Gaming Heads and a YouTube reveal launched its official return in a new form: a 1:6 scale Lara Croft statue.

The piece portrays Lara in a poised, decisive stance: sunglasses on, the Chirugai in one hand, and a pistol raised in the other. The sculpture stands roughly 18 inches tall and is crafted to echo the game’s cover art while capturing the character’s steely resolve.

The Exclusive Edition is a limited run of 500 units and carries a price of $429.99. It bundles the components included with the Standard edition while presenting Lara in her signature pose with dual pistols aimed upward. Standard and Collective editions are also available as stock allows, and interest is high as the Exclusive Edition nears selling out.

Collectors can subscribe to Gaming Heads’ newsletter for in‑depth looks at limited releases, craftsmanship breakdowns, edition history, and buying guidance. This return marks a rare bridge between a controversial classic and a fresh collectible moment for fans of Lara Croft.
