CinemaCon Teases Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse as Miles Morales Enters a Final Chapter

Sony Pictures offered a fresh look at Miles Morales’s next leap across the multiverse, debuting a CinemaCon preview for Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse. The clip showcases Miles in a new dimension, surrounded by alternate versions of himself and his Uncle Aaron, as he tries to return to his own reality.

In this installment, the character portrayed by Shameik Moore is shown in the role of Prowler, a tech‑savvy villain, continuing the twist from Across the Spider-Verse. The sequence moves quickly—from Miles being taunted by another version of himself to a decisive escape using a charged, electric burst.

Help arrives from familiar allies—Spider-Gwen, Spider-Ham, Spider-Noir, Peter B. Parker, Spider-Punk—and two new drivers piloting a getaway van across a rising bridge as they race to pull Miles back from danger.

Described as the emotional and spectacular finale of Miles’s three‑film arc, the film is directed by Bob Persichetti and Justin K. Thompson, with a screenplay by Phil Lord, Christopher Miller and David Callaham. The voice cast includes Shameik Moore, Hailee Steinfeld, Greta Lee, Jason Schwartzman, Karan Soni, Daniel Kaluuya, Nicolas Cage and Jake Johnson.

Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse is set to swing into theaters on June 18, 2027. The project follows the cliffhanger ending of the prior movie and promises the culmination of Miles’s story. The film’s journey has included delays—Originally targeted for 2024, it was delayed amid the actors’ strike and related production setbacks.
